Sibo Electric Successfully Hosts 2026 Shipbuilding New Technology Seminar & Senior Engineering Competency Training Conference
From May 10 to 12, 2026, the "2026 Shipbuilding New Technology Seminar and Senior Engineering Competency Training Conference," hosted by the Marine Electrical Professional Committee of the China Electrotechnical Society, was successfully held in Dafeng, Yancheng, Jiangsu. The event was jointly organized by Jiangsu Sibo Electric Co., Ltd.and the Professional Committee.
Experts from leading enterprises, research institutes, and universities across China’s marine electrical sector gathered to discuss technological frontiers and talent cultivation. Attendees included representatives from Shanghai Sibo Automation, the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) 708th Research Institute, the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI), Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, and Jimei University.The Voice of Sibo: Over 30 Years of Independent Innovation, Technology as the Foundation
In his opening speech, Mr. Chen Wei, Deputy Director of the Marine Electrical Professional Committee and General Manager of Sibo Group, emphasized that "Technology is the lifeline of Sibo. We look forward to deepening cooperation with universities and research institutions to jointly promote the transformation and application of marine electrical technologies."
Since its establishment in 1992, Sibo Group has evolved from a provider of marine automation equipment to a diversified enterprise covering rail transit and meteorological environments. The group’s independently developed marine automation systems have been deployed on over 8,000 vessels. Jiangsu Sibo Electric Co., Ltd., located in Dafeng, serves as the group's design and production base and has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterpriseand a National-Level "Little Giant" Enterprise(Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative).

University-Industry Collaboration: Joint Talent Cultivation and Engineering Competency Evaluation
During the conference, Mr. Xu Xiaoyan, Director of the Marine Electrical Professional Committee, systematically presented the standard system for "Engineering Competency Training and Evaluation." Experts from various universities shared experiences in cultivating marine electrical talent based on teaching and research practices. Representatives from CSSC 708th Research Institute and SDARI offered specific suggestions on new technology transfer and university-industry collaborative education from an industrial demand perspective.

Secretary-General Xue Shilongnoted that Sibo Group’s expansion from niche markets to a comprehensive "Land, Sea, and Air" dimension makes it a model of innovative development for private enterprises. He highlighted that deeply integrating enterprise needs with talent cultivation remains a key industry challenge.

On-Site Visit: Showcasing Innovations like Intelligent Engine Room Systems

All attendees visited the Sibo Electric production base in Dafeng, touring core products such as integrated alarm monitoring and control systems, main engine remote control systems, and power distribution systems.

Mr. Liu Yi, Manager of the R&D Department at Sibo Group, spotlighted the latest achievements: the "Intelligent Engine Room System"and "Data Remote Transmission System."These innovations enable functions such as data monitoring, fault warning, and intelligent analysis, facilitating the smart transformation of the maritime industry.

This conference established a high-level platform for technical exchange and showcased Sibo’s practical achievements in independent innovation and industry-academia-research integration. Moving forward, Sibo will continue to deepen collaboration with universities and research institutions to build a hub for marine electrical innovation and contribute corporate strength to the accelerated development of a maritime powerhouse.
